RESIDENTIAL MULTI-UNIT
Multi-Unit housing development
McAnnalley Street, Manurewa
Located 500m from Manurewa town centre, Auckland, the development’s concept, developed design, and detailed design was commissioned to BuildBIM by Soho Group Ltd.
The site allows for several communal facilities, including an onsite manager office, communal gardens and fruit trees. The design includes universal accessibility and Homestar 6 health, efficiency and sustainability benefits.
The complex, completed in 2020, incorporates 63 dwellings over three levels.

29 Price Crescent, Mount Wellington
This development incorporates 18 units and is one of 14 projects completed with Titus Group between 2019 and the present.
Titus Group engaged BuildBIM before the land acquisition to complete bulk and location schemes to assess the feasibility. The design brief for the project was to maximise the available site density, create liveable homes with functional spaces and private areas, and optimise material usage using traditional NZS3604 construction methods.
BuildBIM developed the building consent documentation.

29 Convoy Lane, Auckland
BuildBIM was engaged by the client prior to the property purchase to complete a feasibility study. These studies resulted in the design of a 30-unit terraced housing development on a seaside peninsula in Auckland.
BuildBIM was commisioned to design and document this project in both resource consent and building consent phases. The project brief for this was to create a development of 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom dwellings with a dedicated carpark. these units were designed to make efficient use of materials and maximized site density while still ensuring livability, privacy and natural light.

INDUSTRIAL
Metspray factory, Auckland
Coating factory for Metspray NZ, comprised of 8200m2 Factory building with gantry lifting and loading areas, sand and bead blasting bays and coating facilities. The project also incorporates a 2 level fully serviced commercial offices & staff facilities complex.
Engaged by Industry Architects, BuildBIM was given the opportunity to translate the concept model up to LOD 350 in preparation for detailed design and provide specific modelling and detailing to the ground floor slab, with primary focus on construction and coordination of the blast bay pits and assorted related componentry.
Musgrove Close, Christchurch
Musgrove Close consists of a 2-storey office building with a viewing mezzanine that overlooks the attached warehouse space.
The building was designed to meet the tenant's required use as an indoor gymnastic and trampoline centre. Simple construction of portal frames and AAC external wall panels allow the space to transform to meet the tenants needs.
Carrfields Scania NZ
Commissioned by Tuatara Structures, BuildBIM’s role in this project was the preparation of working drawings for consent and construction. In addition, BuildBIM was awarded the Lead Consultant role to ensure coordination between all consultant components to reduce council and construction RFI’s.
This project features a 1300m2 workshop and 340m2 commercial office and staff facilities complex. Principal materials are 3m precast concrete Dado panel & longrun cladding/roofing over structural steel portal structure to the workshop and longrun cladding with aluminum windows over timber frame structure.
COMMERCIAL APARTMENTS
Aroha Apartments, Auckland
Aroha Apartments is an apartment building by Ockham Group located in Avondale, Auckland city.
BuildBIM were engaged to provide design advice, architectural modelling and documentation during developed and detailed design and into early contractor engagement to help address buildability early on.

The Barracks Apartments, Hobsonville Point
Barracks Apartments is a 5 storey apartment building on Marlborough Crescent, Hobsonville. There are 4 units, one per floor, and a car parking on the ground level.
BuildBIM was engaged by Winton to provide architectural building consent and construction drawings including shop drawing coordination and integration of precast, structural steel, timber, vertical circulation, and services to pre-empt construction RFI's.

O.K.L.A. On Kaipiho Lane Albany
OKLA is an apartment building comprising 117 residential units with ground-floor retail and hospitality spaces, situated in northern Albany, Auckland.
BuildBIM collaborated with Ignite Architects through developed and detailed design phases to achieve architectural building consent and construction documentation. Our involvement meant that buildability challenges were addressed proactively, and a great project was successfully delivered.
EDUCATION
Westmount College, Canterbury
Engaged for design by Canterbury Education Trust, BuildBIM’s brief was to provide a warm, usable, and energy efficient education space for children to work and play in.
Our team proposed alternate schemes and best-practice construction methods and worked alongside the QS to ensure the design stayed within the project budget. We developed a friendly and usable design and a fully coordinated 3D model and produced shop drawings of the primary and secondary steel structure and SIP panels.
Long Bay College - Buildings A and C, Auckland
BuildBIM assisted in the architectural documentation and coordination of two blocks at Longbay College in Auckland. The new reception block was to be renovated and reroofed to extend the lifespan of the building.
The second block was the reconstruction of a woodworking block that was damaged in a fire. These blocks were designed and detailed to the requirements of the Ministry of Education.
HEALTH CARE
Glenview Medical Centre, Hamilton
BuildBIM in collaboration with Sekta Architects provided architectural detailed design documentation in Revit on the new Glenview Medical Centre, in Hamilton. The $5m rebuild included two minor surgery rooms, teaching rooms, a new radiology service and storage. The floor plan was increase to inround 1,400 sqm and the number of consultation rooms was expanded from seven to 13. The project was designed by Sekta Architects and built by Hawkins Construction.
BuildBIM provided coordinated architectural documentation for buuilding consent, tender and construction.
